WILDLIFE                 ELK are in the valley year-round but concentrate in the winter on the valley floor.  Best times to view them are early                                     morning and late evening. The Moreno Valley "winters" 6000-8000 elk...more than the National Elk Refuge in                                                 Jackson Hole, Wyoming!   Elk Facts courtesy of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation
